Lichens are known as long-lived organismn and are one of the oldest living things. They are among the first living things to grow on fresh rock exposed after an event such as a landslide. Many lichens are very sensitive to environmental disturbances and can be used in cheaply assessing air pollution, ozone depletion, and metal contamination.
I focused on Lichen’s persistence and did several experiments on its resilience
analysis: Lichen soaked in various fluids for about two weeks
result: no changes neither in form nor in colour, they survived extremely aggressive fluids
